Structural Opening package
This package is intended for one conventional opening through a load-bearing masonry wall in a domestic property. The agreed scope can include beam design, end reactions, bearing or padstone requirements and a structural sketch where required.
Information required
Provide plans or a dimensioned sketch showing the proposed opening, photographs from both sides of the wall and the rooms above/below where possible, wall thickness, proposed opening width and any available architectural drawings.
When a simple package may not be suitable
Large openings, interacting beams/columns, uncertain load paths, unusual existing structures or projects involving significant temporary works require a wider structural review before a fee is confirmed.
